Implementing a successful E-911 strategy means sending calls to the right public safety answering point with accurate caller location information. Organizations seeking to minimize risk, and meet the regulatory requirements of legislation like Kari’s Law and RAY BAUM’s act, must proactively develop and implement an E-911 strategy that ensures compliance and that can track user location information – regardless of whether a caller is on wired, or wireless networks, or using a softphone. Meanwhile, enterprise trends toward increasing mobility, multi-vendor environments, cloud, and calling embedded into business applications continue to create challenges to E-911 success.
The emergence of Next Generation 911 (NG-911) offers the opportunity to solve many of the challenges associated with E-911 location management, but is it ready for deployment? In this session, attendees will learn how they can maintain accurate 911 information, in compliance with state and federal regulations, in a multi-vendor environment, on-premises, and in the cloud, while implementing features such as notifying security desks of 911 calls, call recording, and misdial prevention. And, they will understand how NG-911 solutions can enable improved location tracking capabilities.
* Understand the regulatory requirements for E-911 and how it’s changing. * How to mitigate E-911 deployment challenges and strategies for organizations moving to the cloud. * Learn how NG-911 will impact location management and call routing approaches. * Determine best practices for support E-911 for mobile and deskless workers.
