Video conferencing kept us “connected” with colleagues, partners, and customers while working from home. And while this never-ending stream of video calls kept the doors open, working remotely made it harder for people to collaborate, ideate, and foster new ideas.

Tools that enable virtual ideation and collaboration have existed for more than a decade. But these systems have yet to see widespread adoption because most people were in the office and available for in-person brainstorming sessions. Hybrid working changed all that, and created an urgent need for ideation solutions.

During this fast-paced session, we’ll look at the latest generation of ideation features and functions, evaluate how they might improve creativity, and provide insight into how enterprises can put these tools in the hands of their users who need it the most. You’ll learn what is and isn’t an ideation system, how to avoid ideation-system gotchas, and what to expect in the future in this exciting area.

Takeaways:

  • What characterizes an ideation system? How are these systems different than e-whiteboards?
  • How have ideation systems evolved over the years? What’s coming in the future?
  • What are the key features and capabilities to look for in an ideation system?
  • How can ideation systems promote creativity in meetings? How much user training is involved?
  • How do ideation systems bridge the gap between in-office and remote workers? Can ideation sessions include both local and home workers?
  • Is there a calculatable ROI for ideation? How can you get budget approval for these types of tools?
