It’s likely that over the course of the last two years, your enterprise has moved to standardize on a single collaboration platform as the core of your communications environment moving forward. It’s also very possible that end users or even whole departments within your enterprise continue to run one or more collaboration apps in addition to your standard platform. What problems have these caused, and how did you solve them? Did you work to pare down the number of collaboration apps in use, or are you accepting it as just the newest generation of “shadow IT” that you’ll have to manage as best you can? How might data retention and security be impacted by having multiple collaboration platforms? Are there pluses to allowing (or even supporting) multiple apps? How do you work with the business to get a handle on all of this?

This session will run as an open discussion among IT/communications professionals. You’ll be able to share your answers to the questions posed above, and more—and you can hear from your peers about what they’re doing and how it’s working. You’ll come away from this session with a fuller view of the communications environments your peers are supporting, and how they’re making it work for their enterprises.
