Enterprises talk about hiring and advancing women in their IT/communications organizations—and some have made good on the promise. But women still hold only about one-quarter of all jobs in the tech field overall, and are even more sparsely represented at the higher levels of management. And in the wake of the pandemic, women across the workforce—very much including tech—face new challenges as they cope with economic and social conditions that disproportionately affect and hinder them.
In this main-stage session, you'll hear from women who have lived the challenges and succeeded against the odds. A panel of women who have risen to leadership positions in their enterprise IT/communications organizations will tell their stories and offer their perspectives on what it will take to create more opportunities and a better climate for women in enterprise comms. They'll describe their career paths, share their advice, and offer hard-won lessons learned. You'll come away inspired by their stories and examples, and you'll also gain practical insights into how you can improve your chances for success as a woman in communications, or be more effective as an ally.
