Unified communications as a service (UCaaS) is proving invaluable for enterprises needing to support mass numbers of work-from-home employees in the wake of the COVID-19 crisis. But many organizations have yet to still fully move forward with UCaaS. It’s a tall challenge to evaluate all the options, as the North American UCaaS market is marked by a large and dynamic provider landscape. Mergers and acquisitions continue as providers look to gain scale, new capabilities, and long-term survivability. Despite the consolidation, there are still over 100 providers, including pure-plays, traditional PBX/UC vendors, incumbent operators, cable MSOs, CLECs, ISPs, and system integrators.
In this session, the market analyst for Omdia’s annual “North America UCaaS Scorecard” report will share her evaluations of the top 10 largest providers across a set of criteria: market share, financial stability, market momentum, service development, and service and support. In addition, she’ll delve into why the top providers are succeeding, what providers just missed the cut, and providers on the horizon that are important to watch.
Takeaways:
- Guidance on key criteria for evaluating UCaaS providers
- Understanding of which UCaaS providers rate highest on Omdia’s scorecard, and why
- Heads-up on which providers, and capabilities, bear watching
