While most enterprises have been able to ignore cellular infrastructure issues, that is about to change with 5G. The combination of small cells and higher frequencies will mean that equipment and cabling will need to be installed within buildings if users are going to get the full benefit of 5G mobile technology. Even customers with current-generation distributed antenna systems (DAS) will not be able to get the full power of 5G indoors with their legacy deployments. The solution enterprises must envision with indoor small cells will look much like Wi-Fi deployments.

This session will help you prepare for the issues that will arise as 5G becomes a reality. You’ll learn about the likely impacts on your networks, facilities, and end users—as well as the consequences of not staying abreast of the new generation of technology.

* What are the major services and applications being discussed for 5G?
* How is 5G different from previous cellular upgrades?
* What frequencies are they planning to use and how does that impact transmission range and coverage?
* Does this change impact my Wi-Fi infrastructure?
* What have the carriers told us about their plans in this area?
* Is this going to cost me money, and if so, how much?
