Mark Baker joined Pilot in 2018 to take on the role of Chief Technology Officer. Pilot has always placed a strong emphasis on technology, and his role demonstrates the company’s focus on reinforcing and integrating company-wide IT solutions. Mark is responsible for Pilot’s Transformation Program and technology modernization program. This includes applying best practices throughout the company, as well as managing, directing and selecting cutting-edge software and technology that enables Pilot’s core business processes.

As a senior member of the executive leadership team, Mark leads a team of highly skilled employees who demonstrate commitment to Service Excellence. Pilot IT is considered a valued business partner and is recognized for its innovation and transformation services. Mark’s leadership extends throughout all areas of the company by providing strategic direction that delivers a solid value proposition for Pilot’s customers. IT integrates in all aspects of the company resulting in positive financial performance, customer satisfaction and loyalty, market share, and productivity.

Mark’s experience was gained at JAS Worldwide, as the Chief Information Officer, ABX Logistics as the North American Director of Information Technology, Shop’N Check Worldwide, as Director of Information Systems, Boys & Girls Clubs of America, as VP of Information Technology, and Anchor Computer Corporation as Director of Network Operations. During this period he gained a strong foundation in partnering with multiple stakeholders in the creation and implementation of effective IT strategies, communicating IT initiatives and influencing change.

Mark holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration from Mercer University, and as an alumnus has been invited on several occasions to guest lecture on management and strategic planning for the school’s capstone program. He serves as an advisory board member for a leading SD-WAN company. He is a previous honoree of ComputerWorld Premier 100 IT Leaders and received the 2015 Frost and Sullivan CIO Impact Award for Enterprise Architecture.
