Scott joined AWS in 2016 as the first employee of Amazon Connect Go To Market (GTM) and has built out a global team tasked with helping liberate customers from constrictive technologies that hinder innovation and prevent personalized and delightful cognitive customer experiences. Throughout his career, Scott has spent almost three decades consulting and implementing contact center and unified communications technologies, and he and his team have established Amazon Connect as the fastest growing service in the history of AWS. Prior to joining AWS, Scott spent 3 years as the President of Smart Technologies and before that had a 13 year run at Microsoft, where he developed a global team to introduce and grow Microsoft’s Unified Communications portfolio of products. Scott also spent 12 years at The Gallup Organization where he led the architecture and implementation of Gallup’s global contact center operations with assignments across North America, Asia Pacific, and Europe. Scott is an Honor Graduate of the University of Nebraska and a veteran of the U.S. Army and Nebraska Army National Guard.
Scott and his wife Trish reside in Kirkland, Washington where there is a marked deficiency of both sunlight and cattle, and despite appearances in the attached photo, has never actually robbed a convenience store.
