Steven Carroll is the Chief Information Officer at Saint Leo University, bringing more than twenty years of experience in higher education IT to his role. Throughout his career, he has focused on information technology in higher education, gaining expertise in IT operations, academic technology, client services, enterprise applications, and information security. He holds a bachelor’s degree in Computer Information Systems, an MBA from Saint Leo University, and industry certifications, including CISSP, CCSP, and CRISC.
As CIO, Steven focuses on driving innovation at Saint Leo. His initiatives include enhancing digital learning environments, implementing data-driven decision-making processes, strengthening cybersecurity measures, and leading cloud migration efforts. He spearheads digital transformation using advanced technologies to improve the student and employee experience, including implementing AI-powered solutions and systems to improve student success rates.
