Danielle Joiner McPhersonDirector of Tech & Innovation for Global Reservations & Customer CareDelta Air Lines

Danielle serves as Director of Tech & Innovation for Global Reservations & Customer Care leading the digital modernization of Delta Air Lines employee experience servicing technology supporting customers across the travel ribbon and customer contact channels technology strategy for a global footprint including phone, messaging, social, and email. Surfacing data to bring insights to the forefront of strategies and business performance levers helping to drive efficiency opportunities. Her superpowers are ignited at the intersection of skillful relationship building, coaching people to reach their fullest potential, bringing clarity to chaos in business through collaboration and rewarding outcomes.

She joined Delta in 2016 with IT as leader of 200-person program delivery organization introducing efficient technology delivery execution strategies and day to day capital program enablement. Selected as Program Director of Delta’s Digital Transformation and CIO “Big Tech” strategic partnerships including Amazon, Microsoft and IBM.

Prior to Delta, she enjoyed 17 years in consulting with Accenture; partnering with Fortune companies spanning across various industries including healthcare, communications high tech, government, public education, automotive, manufacturing, energy and natural resources on corporate strategies and complex business organizational and systems transformations impacting people, process and tech.

Danielle thrives in her passion work being a voice for change to inspire and challenge women and girls to write their own stories while breaking barriers with advancement opportunities in S.T.E.A.M. For 6 years, she served as President of Women in Technology, Board of Directors being the spokesperson in the Georgia technology community creating a lasting impact by raising annually $400K+ to further the mission, award over $100K in scholarships, and $10K in grants to deserving STEM organizations. Powered by over 300+ volunteers. She has also chartered two women's organizations to create a platform for communities of women and men to support increasing women representation across global technology leadership at Accenture, Jabian Consulting and Delta Air Lines. In the past, she has also served on the Board of East Atlanta Kids Club and participated in the United Way VIP Program. Danielle is also committed to contributing in meaningful ways as a trusted strategic advisor supporting Delta Air Lines corporate business resource women's group, SHE Leads. Danielle continues to expand her life of service through her work on the City of Atlanta CIO Advisory Board leveraging technology and innovation to solve for its citizen's needs.

She holds a BS in Environmental Science, Alabama A&M University and MBA, Kennesaw State University. Danielle prioritizes her life experiences as a personal compass to spend time doing what brings her joy including making memories with her creative husband, building community with her confident daughter, staying grounded with family and close friends, being adventurous travelling the world, playing tennis, and staying sane by getting in a good sweat.
