Genefa Murphy is the Chief Marketing Officer for Five9. Over many years, she has led worldwide teams in creating and executing compelling & effective GTM strategies & campaigns. She holds a BSc in Business IT & a PhD, focused on the intersection of technology adoption & sociology.
She is a passionate business executive, with experience across various IT domains, having previously held global roles spanning products, marketing, sales and technical enablement, communications and PR. Always a technology enthusiast, she consistently looks for new opportunities to push boundaries and lift her teams to the next level.
Genefa is also an active supporter of Diversity, Equity and Inclusion and helped launch the DE&I initiative for her former company a member of the Fortune 2000. As executive sponsor she helped define the program framework and spearheaded a podcast series that brought together DE&I leaders from across the globe to share their stores and help create awareness of DE&I initiatives within global enterprises. She currently serves as the executive sponsor for the PRIDE at Five9 Employee Resource Group.
