Neal Obermeyer is senior manager of channel effectiveness at TD Ameritrade, a financial services firm that provides investing services and education to approximately 12 million client accounts totaling approximately $1.4 trillion in assets. In this role, Neal leads the communications for TD Ameritrade's digital workplace initiative, a collaboration between Corporate Communications and Technology that seeks to connect employees with the information they need as quickly and easily as possible. As part of this initiative, Neal and team have led the firm's successful adoption of Slack, including the migration of all internal corporate communications into the Slack platform, resulting in an estimated 20 percent reduction in company email volume. Currently, approximately 94 percent of TD Ameritrade's nearly 10,000 employees are active Slack users - an adoption rate that has changed the way the company communicates. Neal holds a master's degree in journalism from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln and lives in Washington, D.C.
