Michelle Payne serves as the Voice Engineering Manager for CommonSpirit Health, one of the largest nonprofit healthcare providers in the United States, encompassing over 2,200 care facilities and 137 hospital systems nationwide. With 25+ years of experience in business development, program management, and technology-driven organizational transformation, Michelle is an accomplished and innovative leader who thrives at the intersection of technology and healthcare. Michelle began her career in telecommunications as a Software Engineer, developing custom IVR, CTI, and dialer applications. Over the years, she has gained extensive expertise including key contributions to telecom product development teams, engineering groups, and professional services organizations. She holds a Master’s degree in Computer Science from the University of Phoenix and maintains both Advanced Project Management (APMC) and Project Management Professional (PMP) certifications. In her role at CommonSpirit Health, Michelle has built a highly skilled voice engineering and implementation team, specializing in multi-platform development, migration, deployment, and automation. Under her leadership, the team is driving initiatives to standardize telecom platforms across all facilities, enabling the adoption of advanced technologies to support exceptional patient care. Michelle’s leadership philosophy is grounded in servant leadership, innovation, and a commitment to empowering her organization and team to thrive while maintaining patient safety and satisfaction.
