Mahendra Sekaran is Corporate Vice President, Microsoft Teams Engineering. He has been at Microsoft for ~17 years working on cloud unified communications and mobile products, and has 25+ years of experience in the communications domain. Mahendra leads the product management, engineering development and operations groups for the Microsoft Teams Phone System offering, and in this capacity leads the Telco operator integrations strategy, well as collaborating with them to deliver transformative experiences to our business customers. Prior to joining Microsoft, Mahendra worked in product development at Nortel where he worked on core mobile network switching software and delivered features such as E911, location based services, and intelligent network services. On the personal front, he lives with his wife and two daughters in the Seattle area, and loves to play poker and golf.
