Mark Straton, Sr. Dir, Calling and Contact Center Product Marketing, Cisco
Mark Straton is an innovative senior marketing, sales, and product strategy executive that
specializes in transforming markets with disruptive technologies, reinvigorating brand velocity, and
accelerating sales through buyers journey programs. He is currently Senior Director, Cloud Calling
and Contact Center Product Marketing at Cisco, coming from the BroadSoft acquisition where he
served as Vice President, Corporate and Product Marketing. Cisco is the cloud calling market share
leader with 59% of the global installed base.
Over the last 20 years, Mark has held global Senior Vice President positions for technology giant,
Siemens, where he ran enterprise and carrier communications software and services marketing for
divisions with revenues of over $4 billion. Mark introduced four major global brands to market
resulting in over 60 million in license sales, grew UCC services revenues to hundreds of million of
dollars, and drove Siemens entry in cloud-based UCC. He has received Industry recognition
including: WSJ Innovation Europe Technology Award for LifeWorks, Internet Telephony Magazine’s
Top 100 Voices of IP Communications, and has testified before the U.S. Congress on Teleworking.
At GridPoint as senior vice president, sales and marketing, Mark reinvigorated the brand as a
transformational force in the Internet of Things (IoT) Enterprise Energy Management Systems
(EMS) segment. Mark holds a B.A. in Economics from the University of Michigan.
