Tabice Ward is an Executive Technology Strategist at ChoiceTel, where she collaborates with organizations to develop innovative and transformative technology strategies that drive business enablement, enhance security, and reduce cyber risk.

With 35 years of experience in the energy sector, she possesses deep expertise in technology management, cybersecurity operations, cyber risk management, physical security, business continuity, regulatory compliance, and security policy. She shares her knowledge as an adjunct lecturer at the University of Detroit Mercy, helping develop the next generation of technology leaders.

Tabice has held key leadership positions, including Area Vice President of Enterprise Security at Xcel Energy and IT Director/CISO at DTE Energy, where she led the strategic direction and transformation of cybersecurity programs. In these roles, she partnered with business leaders to develop and execute comprehensive cybersecurity strategies across IT and OT environments.

She holds a master’s degree in Information Assurance from the University of Detroit Mercy, a CISO graduate certificate from Carnegie Mellon Heinz College, and several professional certifications.
