Michael Zurat, Director, Engagement Solutions, Cognosante
Michael Zurat currently serves as the Director of Engagement Solutions at Cognosante, where he has been leading the charge of innovating patient and customer care in the public-sector healthcare space. He developed his first customer service application in 1996 on FileMaker and has delivered tools on just about every platform since. His public-sector career included working in the US Senate and the US Supreme Court. Michael worked in the not for profit space where he was inspired to become a cofounder of the startup firm Capital Victory focused on the open source CRM market. He is most known for his success in pioneering mobile, Cloud, SaaS and COTS products successfully in the public sector for the Department of Veterans’ Affairs (VA) and the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid (CMS). He focuses on customer and front-line employee enablement including AI powered performance support, mobile, self-service, and agent CRM desktop experience. He runs the engagement product development group at Cognosante emphasizing strategic partnerships including Microsoft and Salesforce. Michael holds certifications from ITIL v.3, Agile Scrum (CSM) and is a PMI Project Management Professional (PMP). He received both his Master’s and Bachelor’s degrees from Lehigh University.
