Allen Ohanian, Information Security Officer, Los Angeles County DCFS
Allen Ohanian is the Chief Information Security Officer (CISO) and Departmental Information Security Officer for Los Angeles County DCFS, leading cybersecurity governance, risk management, and resilience in a mission-critical public-sector environment. He bridges cybersecurity, data governance, and human behavior (cyber psychology), with a practical focus on how AI is reshaping attacker tactics, deception, and decision risk—especially across modern collaboration ecosystems. A Ph.D. candidate in Industrial/Organizational Psychology, Allen’s research examines how cybersecurity culture, organizational trust, and conscientiousness influence employee cyber risk-taking behavior. He chairs cross-agency cybersecurity risk and resilience workgroups, aligning standards, third-party assurance, and incident readiness across diverse stakeholders. A national and international keynote speaker and moderator, Allen covers AI-enabled threats (including deepfakes and synthetic identity), organizational resilience, and translating cyber risk into clear executive and board-level decisions.
